How to Build Unbreakable Confidence?

Today I am going to talk about unshakeable confidence. This is the pinnacle of self-confidence. However, it should not be confused with excessive self-confidence. These are two different aspects, even if said in this way it sounds like they are similar. Unbreakable confidence is having confidence in oneself even in difficult times.

That is to say that even when people take you down, you don’t let yourself down, you don’t complain, you know how to come to your senses and take a step back. It’s not a question of staying in your corner, but of knowing how to rise above the situation. This allows you not to lose your confidence as you go through life’s trials and tribulations.

10 ways to build unbreakable confidence

Whether you talk about your career, sports, study, your social circle, or intimate relationships. Self-confidence is the foundation of everything you do. So it is worth discovering for yourself what you can do to increase your self-confidence. That is why I have below 10 practical tips for you that you can immediately apply to have unbreakable confidence.

1. Realize that you don’t need anything to be confident

As a baby, you were confident. There was no brake, no “what will people think of me?” – you were simply doing what you wanted without being afraid. If you were hungry, you screamed. If you wanted to sleep, you close your eyes.

Why does it suddenly become harder to stay confident later in life?

This is often because you let yourself be fooled into thinking that you need all kinds of things to be confident. A nice car, a lot of money in the bank, an attractive partner … You address yourself to all kinds of conditions.

While all of these things are nice to have, they are not necessary to feel more confident. Unbreakable confidence is a feeling, and feelings can be aroused in yourself. In other words – you can evoke confidence because you already own it!

2. Be prepared to perfection

Suppose you have an important meeting. A job interview, for example, or a presentation. Most people are nervous about this. Logical, because this is an important moment for you.

If such a situation awaits you, make sure you are well prepared. Preparation gives you the peace and confidence to improvise when you need to. You know you have the right knowledge, you know that you can always fall back on the points you have prepared. This sense of security gives you more confidence.

You can do preparation physically, by actually practicing something.

What is also an option, and sometimes even more powerful is to practice something mentally. Here you imagine the situation, and you can imagine exactly how this situation could go very well. This is a visualization technique that can be perfectly used to prepare for any situation in which you want to be confident.

3. Dip in the unknown

self-confidence

Do you remember yourself the last time you went swimming in cold water? Did you jump immediately or did you doubt the water’s edge for a while? “Should I go in? Or shall I not do it? ” “Yes I do it! No, not yet… ”

The longer you doubt, the more likely you are to choose the safe option. And this safe option is generally not the one someone would confidently choose. In other words, doubt gets in the way of self-confidence. Once you are well prepared (you have your swimming diplomas!), Jump into the deep as quickly as possible.

For example; the moment you have to make a difficult call. Enter the number as soon as possible and press the call, so you don’t have to go back.

Let’s say you meet the partner of your dreams – then suggest doing something fun together as soon as possible!

The faster you take action, the less time you have to doubt; the more confident you will be.

4. Be your own cheerleader

Do you know that little voice that says to you now and then “You can’t do it …”, “Would you do that now?”, Or “Is that wise?”

You would think that there are enough negativity and uncertainty in the outside world.

Imagine every time you are about to take action, you hear in the back of your mind “You can do it!”, “Go for it!”, “Great, I am proud of you!”! The choice is yours; do you want to be your own bogeyman, or would you rather be your own cheerleader?

5. Use your body for confidence

Suppose I ask you to describe what a depressed person looks like. How would you describe this person? There is a good chance that you can list quite a few external features. Downcast gaze, collapsed shoulders, corners of the mouth down, etc.

A person who is in a depressed mood often has this attitude. The bizarre thing is that it also works the other way around. Someone who adopts this attitude feels immediately tired and more lifeless in almost all cases than before.

Therefore, choose an attitude of self-confidence. Put on that big smile, keep your back upright, and show your self-confidence. Before you know it you feel it in your body.

6. Prick through someone else’s bubble of perfection

One of our most important human needs is the need to be unique. That in itself is fantastic – the effect is only so strong that we often believe that our problems are also unique. Surely no one else is as lacking in self-confidence as you are. And it is not as difficult for anyone else to take action as it is for you.

Even though we consciously know somewhere that this is nonsense, these kinds of beliefs continue to itch now and then. The solution is to get to know other people better, instead of judging what you see on the outside. By sharing your own challenges you will notice that others will also share their challenges with you. As a result, you will notice that a lot of people encounter the same obstacles as you!

7. Focus on how you can help others

A lack of self-confidence arises when you are mainly focused on your own performance (“Am I doing it right?”). With a sense of confidence, you are often more focused on the other.

While writing this article, I have two choices: I can ask myself how well I write, if I play everything correctly and how I come across. Or, I can ask myself what are the most important things you can learn now. How you can apply this, and what you will benefit from this.

In the second case, I am much more confident. By focusing on the other person, there is simply less time and energy left to worry about your own performance.

8. Be thankful for everything you already have

Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions around. It leads you to appreciate the big and small things in life, and that appreciation leads to self-confidence.

The moment you are happy and grateful for what you have now, why would you still be insecure? Gratitude can simply arise by asking yourself every night, “Why am I thankful that I was allowed to live today?”

9. The more you practice, the more confident you become

Practice makes perfect. The moment you feel that you are good at what you do, you gain more confidence in this. When you are busy with something you are good at, you probably even notice that you speak louder, stand up straight and smile more often.

Here again, the power of visualization comes into play. You practice both in practice and in your head. The moment you practice more often, you will come to the point where you can imagine in detail how to take this action. This way you will see exactly how you will succeed in what you do.

Because you have such a clear picture of how you will succeed, you will gain more and more confidence. This sense of self-confidence again drastically increases the chances of success!

10. See yourself the way you want to see yourself

confidence

When we talk about visualization, we quickly arrive at your self-image; the image you have built up in recent years of who you are, what you do, and what you can do.

Your sense of confidence is stored in your self-image. It is strongly related to how satisfied you are with your self-image at the moment.

The moment you close your eyes and imagine you see yourself – is that an image that makes you happy? Or is it an image that disappoints you?

What could you do to make this image more positive?

How could you, as it were, put yourself in a new light?

It is very valuable to answer these questions for yourself. With insights from this, you can build a more positive self-image and stronger self-confidence.

Where does self-confidence come from?

Let’s start by looking at what self-confidence comes from. Because self-confidence is something we all know, we see it every day and we don’t necessarily pay attention to it. However, it is an integral part of our lives. We cannot neglect it and that’s why we must understand what it is, what it does but also what it comes from.

As we were saying, self-confidence is part of our lives. We deal with it every day. It’s what allows us to make decisions, whether or not we take action, whether or not we are reassured. Without this confidence, we could not do anything with our lives. The lack of unbreakable confidence would take place and we would be paralyzed with fear.

Self-confidence comes from our beliefs, our way of being, and our personal experience. Each person has different self-confidence, depending on what they have experienced in their life, their surroundings, their opinion, and their limiting beliefs. In general, the greatest source of unbreakable confidence is our past. It is to it that we turn when we have doubts.

But the past is not the only way to make a decision. There are also those around us, who have a great deal of influence on us. Our environment rubs off on us, we are not aware of it, yet it is a truth. This is why we have to be very careful about the people around us. Because they have a lot of power over us.

Self-confidence is part of our inner self. That is to say, we are the fruit of our self-confidence. This means that we can personally influence our self-confidence. A person who does not self-confident is not condemned to not self-confidence, by working on himself he can become confident over time.

What makes this unbreakable self-confidence unshakeable?

Now that we have begun to study self-confidence, where it comes from, it becomes unshakeable. We can worry about what makes it unshakeable. For we may know how to make it unshakeable, but that does not mean that we know the principle that makes it unshakeable.

Self-confidence is based, as we have seen, on our past, our experiences, and our surroundings. It is above all these points that are the main founders of self-confidence. Therefore, by knowing these different points, we quickly realize what we need to work on to gain self-confidence. And that’s when the journey of self-confidence begins.

There’s nothing magical about self-confidence; it takes work. That is to say, your ability to be determined, to work, to be motivated. Without this, you will not be able to gain self-confidence, in any case, the path will be much longer. For a very simple reason, because you will have to wait for experiences to present themselves to you.

Whereas if you are determined to work on your confidence, it is you who will create the situations that will give you confidence afterward. You are not going to be a spectator but an actor in your future. It is this not insignificant point that allows your confidence to be unshakeable. Because in addition to being an actor and a questioner, you will also do a job of questioning.

And it is this questioning that will give your confidence a boost. Without it, you will likely find it difficult to maintain your confidence in situations that are important to you. Because it is a long-term job, which needs to be repeated a certain number of times so that it becomes natural. And it is once it becomes natural, that our confidence grows very quickly.

In conclusion

Self-confidence is part of our lives. We cannot neglect this aspect, nor can we neglect it. It is a very important aspect, which helps us in everyday life and allows us to direct our lives. Without it, we would not be able to make a decision, or take action, or live extraordinary experiences.

Therefore, to make our self-confidence unshakeable, we need to work on a long-term basis. It is this work that will allow you to gain confidence in yourself and subsequently make your self-confidence unshakeable. This work is symbolized by two things. Firstly, the fact of taking action and living experiences. Then, secondly, getting into the habit of questioning yourself.

Knowing this, you know the two aspects that make your confidence unshakeable. And this is what will allow you to gain confidence and develop personally. For it is a path you must take to live a fulfilled life. The key to unbreakable self-confidence is questioning.
